All of which is to say that, despite Mitsubishi's major efforts at trying to make the Evo more civilized, more of an everyday proposition, the thing remains an incredibly focused, narrow-minded driver's tool. Bad news, maybe, for Mitsubishi's engineers and designers, who were aiming for something powerful and nimble but broader in its appeal; good news for fans who were worried the car had gotten soft.
Wow, that's a first in a read, haha.

I'd hate to pay that $41,498 base price, though.

Worth it.

Sure, if you look at it on an international scale, I got gouged. However, with importing not an option (yet, it looks like that may change in the future) and only what's available in dealers, it's still the best bang for the buck. Just my opinion, but the STI sells well here, and it's the same price...

The thing that annoyed me, more than the price, was the lack of options. I want HIDs.

is that $41,498 US dollars? or Canadian?
I know that the Canadian dollar has gone up a lot recently ... but before it was like around $0.75 to a US dollar no?
Right now $41,498 Canadian = $40,900 ... but before it was a much bigger difference.
