people should wait a little longer to buy when they are down to 15k for a new one.

Here's the deal. I saw their first ad on April 1st and thought it was a joke. I emailed the guy and he said the prices were real. I still didn't believe it. My coworker said we should stop by to check it out.

I printed out the ad and the email I got and drove down there. When I got there, no one knew about this deal so they asked a manager. He said, "Yeah, we posted that ad last night. Fred give him that price and help him pick one out." No freaking way. So I pick an Apex Silver w/ SSS and Navi, and start the paperwork. I'm expecting some crazy add ons and fees but there were none. I didn't even trade in my STi because I didn't want them to screw me on that. I think the finance guy was trying to pull something on me but I kept saying I wanted to see the contract first before we moved on. I examined the document and there was a $55 document fee and $28 DMV fee but that's it!

The deal is real. I found out that I was the first one to get one at this price. My coworking is trying to get permission from his wife to get one this weekend. Strange thing is that even with this awesome pricing they've only sold a handful.

just enjoy the thought that you were one of the first owners of the EVO X in your area.

i think they have the option of not macing the low prices of capitol because they might think that there are people from socal who are not willing/hesitant to drive all the way to san jose just to save a thousand dollars for their purchase price. however, if south coast mitsu has pride in being the best evo store in this country, they would at least match the prices up north, if not beat them.

maybe because nobody likes the colors they have? or is it just me that doesn't like those colors...
I like blue black grey and white in that order, hate the red and the silver...

I hope they match it because a flight/drive to NorCal to pick up a car really isn't that difficult from SoCal

I sense sarcasm, but I hope this doesn't happen because then everyone would have them and the name would be trashed and worthless.

I thought I was doing good getting one for 33k out the door. But, since I am going to SF this week, I might have to go check this out. However, at $4 dollar, it may still be cheaper to get the one from my 10m from my house, rather than drive one home from SF.

My home is in Texas and Don Herring Mitsu in DFW said they could match South Coast, but I am not sure if I can get them to bite on those prices. Its not that important right now anyway. I have a while till I come back from Iraq.

Seeing these prices is very exciting, since I hate the idea of spending so much more money then the past two Evos I've owned.
