idk if i'd take my X out there though. the interior sucked sooooo bad to clean. after 10 washes i was still seeing dirt/mud seep out of areas that i didn't know existed.

i know what you mean...judging from the video there was ALOT of lose dirt around... but if you can find an actual dirt road with out rocks everywhere i dont think you will have that problem...i only got a thin layer of dirt over my car... anyway the x handels sooo much better then the 9...but it was a lot harder to slide though

it IS fun. When I bought my VIII way back (what was that? 2003?), the day after I picked it up, headed out on a 2 week roadtrip with my wife to Vegas, Grand Canyon and Arizona... and we had fun out there on dirt roads going crazy. Then spent a LOT of time driving fire road / dirt roads in the foothills where I lived... tore off the front bumper once when I caught air and then landed in some soft dirt and burried the front of the car.. OOPS... oh well.

There really is nothing more fun... its why I am still really considering buying an EVO x instead of a Carrera 4s or GT3 or used F car.... I am a bit older now and in a better situation financially, and those BETTER cars are tempting, but at the end of the day, I still think, all that really matters is the FUN , and won't I have more FUN in an EVO? This thread just re-affirmed that .....

I totally agree its all about fun..

A lot of people on this forum think the Evo is like some Porsche and Ferrari and its taboo to take it offroad or just plain beat it.. they flame you for "not appreciating your vehicle" its like why did you buy a peformance car..just to show off and wax every weekend?..****... We only live once right? Might as well enjoy it while it lasts, posers.

once I get my EVO X, there's a couple of roads near my town that are sort of like Touge's, and they're really nice roads to race on. I tried hitting them up with my MR2 and it took a lot out of me, hopefully the EVO X won't have to take so much...

That Youtube video is great. It is like a dry version of all the Evos in the snow.

Love the dirt stuff. I'm not a big fan of drag strips, though, so I guess I'm a little biased.
