I'm paying $220 for full coverage for 6 months with the Evo as a second car. There are some benefits of getting older!

18, had my license for about 6 months, turning 19 in June.

The Evo's my daily...putting about 200 miles on her a day. (Mostly cruising, I don't work nor go to school).

Insurance is the hard hit on me though: approximately $4000 a year, full coverage, on my mom's policy.

Love the car!

(I pay for the car, in case anyone plans on making any dumb comments.)

turned 18 on march 26, bought it on march 28.

Birthday present from my dad ^^

Edit: its a DD. Don't take it to school though (still in high school, as a senior), I usually drive it to my GF's house, park it at her house then get a ride from her to school, my school is too dangerous to have an Evo around (scratches from haters and such). Insurance is 2300 every 6 months, but for 6 cars with my uncle, aunt, and my name in it. My dad doesn't have an american license so yeah, he uses mexican license in the US and he's (we are) full chinese so yeah my family might be odd to some people ^^)

I'm surprised to see so many people <20 years old with the car... I felt like i was gonna be in the minority being 23, (4 years of college paid off i suppose)....but its looking like a lot of people in highschool are getting these cars. Honestly a little scary. I know when i was 16-18 I didn't need 300hp, i got in enough trouble in my Celica GT.

I'm not bashing at all...just a word to the younger guys, respect the car.... it amazing how much your out look will change in 5 years... I'm a young guy myself but I am leaps and bounds different from when i was 17-18.

Before I got the car, and before I knew the power, I told myself, "yeah this is going to be so much fun having so much power!"

But now I ask myself if I really need all this power (and answer myself with a "no"). But nonetheless, I respect the car, I respect speed limits, and most of all, I respect my life.
