The only thing the ISF has over the X is the more luxurious interior, reliablity and stock power. It's a heavy car and handles nowhere as good as a X nor the 4 door M3, plus it costs just as much as the M3. Interior space is smaller than the X, even it's a bigger car on paper.

I have to say the ISF is lexus' failure attempt to compete with C63 and M3. It will, however, compare quite nicely with an S4.

I wouldn't call it a failure. It's a great car, drive one and you won't be able to keep the smile off your face.

Coming from an IS350, the Evo does have a FAR more spacious interior, especially the back seat.

This is a good question for SPT to field as he has tested both cars extensively

are they out yet? I saw one cruising around downtown Vancouver on sunday night. I'm sure it was an IS-F, but I didn't really notice if it had dealer plates or, out-of-province plates.

he looks like he prefers the M3 better. what's wrong if the gear selector makes a beeping sound? let sabine schmidt drive it instead.

As for the IS-F, I think it still need more tuning in the suspension area to beat the Evo. It's funny how the journalist said that even though the IS-f has a bigger displacement then the M3, the M3 has the same low end grunt.

It also has a crazy 8 speed auto tranny that, according to reviews, "shifts too often" and gets annoying.
