Ralliart wouldn't effect on the RS and visa versa, if they would bring the same specs RS here like what they selling in Japan.
I mean the Lancer SE interior , no brembos, no power windows etc, steel wheels , limited to 130 mph. Why would effect on the Ralliart?
It is a way two different buyers crowed.

And for who want the RS they would be more then happy to get that car for the same price as a ralliart. I know ,i would ...

 

Never say never. If sales begin to taper, the product line needs a jump start and there's potential money to be made, I wouldn't count it out.

 

In actuality the US has NEVER gotten a true RS. Our "RS" came with all the bells and whistles like seats, brakes, wheels, etc. The true RS is sold as a shell to build an actual race car from, and likely wouldn't sell here. Considering the upscale drive of the new lancer platform, i doubt they would offer it with manual windows, doorlocks, etc. like the previous "RS" offered here, but you never know...

 

the JDM comes like that, and that is what i was referring in my post. i would be happy to get a JDM specs RS with LHD. And that model wouldn't hurt any Ralliart sale .
It was a mismatch the USDM RS. No technical goodies, only show and shine.../like brembos and recaros , wheels/

I prefer the JDM RS trims.

 

im glad they upped the RS for the states.... the brembos and seats are nice to have (not to mention the AC)...... but compared to the other models, its still very much stripped!


and there will always be a niche for the RS! the ralliart would not interfere with its sales at all... the ralliart IS NOT an evo! and for those who want an evo, and want a track car.. the RS is the car they buy.. or for us harcore peopkle who DD these beasts

 

lol I was gonna say, thought the rs was just minus wing here...I could see the rs as a ralliart with 5-spd considering RA is only SST first year for sure
