Anyways this is getting quite off topic.
Well, I just read the edmund reviews from edmunds .com and it caught my attention that 6 out of 6 Evo X owners were complaining about the 5 speed Manual transmision.
# Review 1
Well I got a bad one, and started out on the wrong foot, I still dearly love my car, but at 1143 miles I required a new transmission. Suggested Improvements
The notchiness.
# Review 2
My new Evo X GSR has blown me away, but before I get to why, I'll note what's wrong: needs 6th gear in manual, better clutch. Suggested Improvements
ASC should always be turned off. Difficult to launch without burning clutch (Vishnu should provide this solution). 6th gear.
#review 3
Needs a sixth gear on the manual and a tighter gear pattern. Tough to launch without burning clutch. Suggested Improvements
6th gear for manual. better clutch
# review 4
Suggested Improvements
Manual transmission is super notchy into second and third gear. Needs taller fifth gear for fuel economy.
# review 5
Review
Lack of overdrive gear really kills highway mileage (3500-4000rpms); really bogs down below 3k rpms, still has turbo lag between 3-5k then starts to fall flat above 5500 rpm. Redline might as well be 5500 rpm. Suggested Improvements
Needs better tranny gearing, low end torque, interior comforts
#review 6

Gosh, I just got the car two days ago. So far, it is more solid than I expected, not an econobox at all. I have the 5 speed. You are doing around 3,000 rpm at 65mph. It needs a sixth gear.
With that being said this my be a turning point in favor of the MR. If the MR transmisison proves to be fast, durable and reliable then I give more credit to the MR. It is not just me saying it (I don't even own a Evo X) but the reviews came from the Evo X owners. It clearly looks to me that this time(unlike before) the Evo X 6 speed might be the ultimate winner.

The BBS will sale for what they are worth if you were to buy them seperately from another online site, not from Mitsubishi.
Any other site you try to buy them on they sale for $600 a wheel at the cheapest, just because they are OEM, does not mean they are worth less.
So I believe you can get $2,000-$2,500 with brand new OEM tires. I don't care what anyone says. Everyone on Forums is a cheap lowballer who believes they deserve some discount on real products because the 10 previous sellers selling the same item were lowballed.
They will sale for that price, maybe not here because of most peoples Burger King budget, but elsewhere they will.

Hi! Which differences are in the MR appart from Bilstein suspension, BBS wheels, and chrome grill border, brembo special rotors.
I dont like much the BBS, bilstein?? Robispec better hehe and Brembo special is it worth it, i dont like the chrome and painted details
Somebody thinks like me
I will go for a GSR, manual, SSS package, Advan RS/RZ rims 19", Robi spec coilover
Much better hehehehhe

wait, so that means theres no SSS package, but you have to get the technology package with the touch screen display just to get the sound system? that sucks...
what kind of system comes in these cars without getting the package, anyone know?

I don't own a GSR but I drove one monday in Knoxville. Shifting at low speed it felt and sounded like crap. I got in the car and the dealer said: "You can't go above 3500 rpm, you can't go into boost and you can't go over 40 mph. So I wasn't to impressed but it may not be the cars fault. Like I said though the transmission needs help. I did notice that you don't have to slip the clutch like on the 9 though. So I give it a thumbs up on that.

SST equiped with AYC and SAWC
If my local dealers are anything to go by, they'll sell none.
One who wanted a 4k markup on a GSR who told me that "a russian was going to snap up all three he had so I'd better hurry", is now sitting with 6 in stock, and no sales.
(Funny thing is that when the evo 8 came out, this imaginary russian was buying all their stock then too!
The other dealer, who I wouldn't let service a pram, boasted about the fact that he turned down a doctor for a test drive. The doctor stormed off in disgust.
The when i requested a GSR with no options, he told me they would not be available. And that I would never get a test drive. These clowns think it's a ferrari or something compared to the rubbish they normally sell, and act accordingly.
40K - best of luck mitsubishi - the amount of issues I am hearing about this car is worrying. Great car, rubbish dealers, rubbish quality and rubbish service...
Yet again, this is a car I want to get, and mitsubishi seems to be doing all in it's power not to sell them.
Subaru dealer - offered invoice price off the bat - I think I know where I am going again.
Pity that.
