AMS's EVO X MS109 Dyno Tune

I had the opportunity to get the EVO X on the dyno a few weeks ago and do a tune on MS109 fuel. I am just now getting the opportunity to post about it .

The car now has:

AMS FMIC
AMS Turbo-back exhaust (no cat)
AMS Prototype o2 housing
AMS Upper intercooler pipe
AMS Turbo inlet/maf pipe
AMS MBC

I am pretty sure our BOV was leaking a little bit when it made these numbers. I have been meaning to get it back on the dyno to check it out, but we have been swamped!

Car is very quick with these mods on it. I HAD TO check the tune on the street real quick and I was suprised by the way the torque comes in and how well the power holds for having so few modifications.

Anyways, here is the chart you are looking for:

Let me know if there are any questions on it

-Chris

Some nice numbers, I personally like seeing things on pump gas since thats what everyone else generally runs.

WOW! Very impressive. I guess the X responds just as well to basic mods as the 8s and 9s. It will be interesting to see how much the blocks can take.

Thanks AMS and keep up the good work.

If I recall, they've already posted graphs on pump gas. This is the next step in their testing I believe . . .

I believe the car still has the stock LICP, but that doesn't provide substantial gains, but I am sure it wouldn't hurt.

No boost or AFR curves available. You will just have to trust me.

29psi falling to 20
Mid to high 11's throughout the RPM band.

Tuning is being done with the stock ecu and ECUTeK.

Do I need upgraded fuel pump and injectors to boost 29psi?

I was boosting 23 psi when I installed my MBC when the car is still stock.

When I Tee'd off my Boost Gauge line on the BOV it is reading 26psi or 1.8 Bar.

Does adding a downpipe, testpipe, catback exhaust, bigger intercooler, IC pipes and intake raises the boost 3 psi more?

I would assume that because the turbo is breathing a lot better now and its not chocking. Hence the 3psi of boost raise?

I'm on 91 pump gas right now and boosting 26psi. No hesitation at all pulls real hard to redline, no fuel cut either.

I would also assume boosting 26psi is safe because the car tuned realy rich from the factory and by boosting 3 psi more you are making it leaner? Does it make sense?

Also I have the AEM alcohol injection installed and planing on boosting 28 to 30psi on pump 91 gas. Running 50/50 Meth and Water still untuned.

I'm assuming you are talking about an evo 8 or 9?

It's hard to say how well the car is running without actually seeing it in person, or at least some datalogs. I can't tell you for sure if it is running correctly because I would only be guessing.

My best guess is that your car is not safe right now on 26psi and would probably be faster with a properly tuned map on 22 PSI.
