Yes it could be dealer installed. I got mine for 1900 installed at the dealer.
but it would be cheaper if you get the car with the navi installed at the port.

The dealer where I bought my car would not install it at the dealership. They told me that I would have had to ordered it with it and it installed at port. They said that there was too much wiring to install it and too much that could go wrong. I was like WTF....

WOW here in canada we didn't have the nav option for a while so i purchased one here on evom. They guy baught and evo and got his car fully sponsored. I got the sub, amp, nav, and facekit for $1200 but then payed $140 for shipping to Canada.

let me tell you there is a thread on the how to section for the navi install. It wil take anyone here 30 min to 1 hour and all you need is a philips screwdriver. The dealership told you there is too much wireing to install!!!! there is NO wireing to install its ALL THERE already.

If you want the aux video/audio input to work for like 40$ you can order the peice and install that yourself too. Again ALL the wireing is there for it as well.

So the Dealership doesn't know what he is talking about.

Nobody likes aftermarket nav with more features for half the price? That's what I would do... Maybe pioneer AVIC-Z3?

i have a z1 in my IX right now thats for sale. Its a good unit, but its not worth the hassle of no warranty. Rather have something OEM, and its actually not that bad from what I hear. Its supposed to get installed tomorrow. Ill keep you guys posted on what I think vs the Z1
