Thats a very inviting price for a preowned X with under 4k miles.

40k my ***, not from that dealership. In another part of the country, sure, but sticker on that car brand new would have only been a couple thousand higher which after driving it off the lot you pretty much have to expect that sort of loss.

Not a bad deal, and I may end up doing the same when I pick up my X.

Sticker is $35680, or right around there. Nowhere near $40k. However, that dealership group is selling brand new ones in the same configuration alongside it for $31999.

If anything, I'd say knocking only $1k off the price is not nearly enough for me to have considered a used one.

^^ You're forgetting the Nav. Still, I don't find that to be too unbelievable, especially when they have to price it against their new cars. Still, it could also have been their dealer demo .

I don't know why you think EVO values drop so fast, there are IXs that are still selling for $28,000 and higher.

But that is only for the Evo 9, because there is demand for it. A lot of people are trading their Evo 8s for the X, but few are trading the 9.
