Evo X trunk pass-thru?

Hey, quick question for you all.

On the Evo X GSR is there a trunk pass-thru, or any way to fit skis in the car otherwise? I searched a bit and couldn't find a picture that showed whether or not it was there with 100% certainty.

Thanks!

Nope. The battery and washer fluid are right behind the rear seat. You'll have to get roof racks.

No pass-thru. Best idea to keep your car a DD and haul ski or boards would be to buy a ski rack for on top. Thule doesn't have any kits for the 08 Lancer models yet. But the 07 Mazda3 kit works good enough till they get an official fit-kit designed just for the new Lancer based 08 models.

Here is my snowboard set up off of my old MazdaSpeed3 on the new Evo:

Not a 100% perfect, but it isn't loose at all, it's hard to explain how it fits.

Ya the Thule fit-kit should be a tad shorter and angled more for a better position and grip but yes....all is good as long as it fits and well the Mazda3 kit does, LOL! Doesn't slips or damage things....so ya. There is my set up that I will be using....I gotta take the MazdaSpeed logo off the fairing. Haha!

I found a Thule fit kit with the perfect angles and lengths. I posted the number in another thread - I think that it was 2120.

xbox4414: How much have your driven with the spoiler on there? I installed mine but then I was concerned that the pressure from the feet at speed would be enough to dent the extremely thin aluminum roof, so I took it off. Have you noticed anything from it?

Makes for better weight distribution plus a better air intake. On the ralliart, the battery is located where the airbox is on the X. So it has this little snorkel thing that has to go over the battery to get to an airbox that back along the firewall.

Haven't driven with it yet. That was just an off season test. Next year when the season opens I'll be able to tell but as for denting the roof, that never crossed my mind....so I'm not sure if that would happen or not...

You better check it out before driving with the spoiler on the roof just to make sure that you are aware of how easily the roof pushes in. I'm usually one to chance stuff, but this was enough that I didn't want to risk it. If you dent the aluminum roof you're SOL.

I just came from the dealership on Saturday and was told and saw in person that you can fold down both sections of the rear seats so if you have Ski Blades preferably not the long traditional skii, it will fit inside the car. But if you have huge snowboards and traditional skii your better off with the roof rack unless you don't mind them stick all the way form the trunk to near your front seat arm rest.

Then you were looking at a normal Lancer and not the Evolution, as the Evo's seats don't fold down and don't have a pass-through.

How do you fill up the washer fluid? Via the trunk?
