Car stalled on its own 6 times today..

Nothing new, but thought I'd share:

So I'm ready to leave a parking lot, turn my car on, tach goes CRAZY on its own for about 5 seconds, then drops all the way down to 0. Stalled out.

So I think whatever, start her back up, again. Stalled out.

Start her up once again, decide to keep on the gas, back out a little, stalled while moving. Turn her back on her, stalled. At this point I had a line of other cars waiting for me to get out of their way, and this one lady actually had the nerves to look at me, and I read her lips in which she was saying, "forever," (as in: I'm taking forever) and kept nodding her head.

Stalled out two more times, but at least I managed to move a few inches out of the spot each time.

(I know there's a reflash, but it's hard to get)

I heard that they are having some Evo X's recalled for a reflash on the ecu. Factory tune came out too rich. Or wait I think they said it was rich above 5k and bogs down. It usually does that if its pig rich, have atm bov installed and you blip the throttle to hear the bov you lose air that was already accounted for so the mixture goes pggy rich and most of the time it stalls out the car. That's not an accurate diagnose of whats wrong with your car though...but the reflash is true.

There are 2 reflashes, one for the P1320 code, which is what is thrown after the idle issue occurs, and one for the high rpm hesitation. The reason for the rough idling is that some affected Xs learn an incorrect throttle position when the ignition is turned to on and back off again without being started. The reflash for this corrects this and makes sure that the throttle position sensor is always in the correct position.

The other reflash leans out the air/fuel mixture to more appropriate levels to prevent the hesitation above 5k rpms. It has nothing to do with an atmospheric BOV. That only causes a rich condition when letting off the gas after is has been pressed i.e. between shifts and when blipping the throttle at idle. Atmospheric BOVs are junk and you should always go with a recirc type. Again, irrelevant anyway since the X certainly does not have one of those stock.

Haha, even when I was starting out with stick, I didn't stall out as much as I did in this 5-minute period!

I actually had problems with stalling while I was driving. I would be going fast then put it to neutral to let the car go on its own , and the car would just shut down. One of the times it shut down and I had to start my car fast as I was headed fast into a turn on the freeway (very dangerous ) .. I went to the dealership for the reflash and on the way home it did this again twice.. but after that it never happened (been 2 weeks) . Should I take it back to the dealership?

Yeah here's my mod list, sorry I didn't mention it earlier:

35% window tint all around. I hope I don't have to uninstall these to prevent self-stalling.
