Daddy's car makes me move.
I hope my daughter is as perceptive as yours when shes a few years old. (Only two months now). Its crazy what comes out of childrens mouths.
The funniest part is that your wife cant dispute what she said....children have no agenda at that age and just say what they feel.

I thought the IS350 didn't trap over 100mph?

Remember, they also stated the 0-60 time of the x was ~5.3....Magazines are wrong sometimes.

My son giggles a lot more when I take fast corners then when I pin his head back.
yep same here, i love it when little kids stare out their parents car window, point, and smile. It feels great when little kids get excited cuz it makes me feel like i have an influence on future motorheads ahahahahahaha "race cars" ftw!
I have an IS350 and ran a best of 12.84@109 and I have run a best of 13.3@105 bone stock. The IS350 is definitely not slow, but as others have said it is rather dull to drive. My runs are fast because they were all done in the Fall with sub 55 degree temps where the IS really shines.
I really enjoyed the OP's story as it hits home with me as I'm on the fence about getting the X and my wife just loves the IS350. I too started off with a 1990 Talon Tsi AWD that I loved and had for over 6 years. Since then I've had numerous cars including a 97 M3, 03 EVO, Accord Hybrid and now the 06 IS350. I have been watching the EVO X closely ever since I saw it in Detroit 2 years ago, paid a visit to the dealership the other week and have seen a few at our weekly car meet here in Northern Va. I absolutely love the looks and size of the EVO X except for the rear, but it's still fine with me. I'll continue to watch the EVO X in hopes of a 6sp manual tranny or possibly get a deal on an 08 X when the 09's start arriving.
I'm going to share this thread to my wife and see what she says.

its a quick car - it's just that the true performance numbers came in under the radar. I, as most others had no idea it was that fast.
That's too funny. Although I will say this, I was looking at an IS350 tat was parked next to me yesterday and it looked good. I wouldn't trade my X for it, but sometimes I wish I had a car that had a nice interior. Don't get me wrong, performance is priority one which is why I bought the X and not a BMW with a fancy interior, but I wish that mitsu could've used something nicer for the interior plastics. I mean hell, leather ought to be standard, but if not then at least offer it as an option. Second, I just bought my wife a 2009 corolla LE, and the interior plastics are nicer than my X. This is a 17k car. That to me is sad, very sad...
Great story BTW. You had to be excited about that. Looks like someone's getting ice cream from daddy next time out haha.
