Who buys their kid a $35k Evo as their first car? Yikes... take it if you can get it, I suppose.

Be careful out there, it's a lot of car for a younger driver.

 

why?

 

I used to drive my family's '98 Toyota Sienna Van everywhere years ago. Then, I finally got my first true car, a '04 RX8. 3 years after that, I got my '06 IX MR.

 

i got an 04 evo for my first car and learned to drive stick on it when i was 17 and i sold that and bought an 03 35r

 

Different people make different decisions based upon their personal values. This is what makes us individuals.

My first car was a 4Runner SR4 97, 2nd car is now a 2006 4Runner V6 Sport 4x4, love it. Next car will be something more fun...it starts with an E

 

First car was my 08 lancer GTS which I got last year. Traded that in and driving a 08 GG Evo X GSR now as my only car.

23 years old, and work my butt off as a designer to drive my dream car :P

not my first car but my only car...30k miles...zero problems...take care of ur evo and dont abuse it and it will last and not tear up on u..mine is a dd in stock form...and i don't drag race or anything but i do get on it ever once in awhile for fun...haha

 

I don't always agree with the "a lot of car for a younger driver" myth. I was doing serious back-road beating in my GFs M3 when I was 17. Granted, it was a bit too much car for her. And I bought a 68 Chevrolet Camaro SS when I graduated, as a daily driver, and never came close to tearing it up either. And I'm not easy on tires or the pedals. Maybe I Just never had that "invincible" feeling they say young folks get. Either way, X is my 3rd car, Camaro was 2nd. And the X is my DD.

 

Rad ride for high school, I'm jealous.

My two cents, you better have a good job out of school to afford the level of cars you're used to.

I had 2 beater jettas before I landed a gig that afforded my toy. New X is my DD.

 

4th car, and like the previous three, it's my only current car.
