Where's the temp sensor for in cabin display?
was your car sitting or was that when you were driving? i notice that sometimes mine shoots up to 100+ when i park it for a bit lol. . . . pretty sure its near the front crash beam, check around the oil duct of fmic duct
Just ran to the store and pulled into my garage when I noticed it. It was at 125 but dropped pretty rapidly.
Just thinking out loud here, what about moving it to read the intercooler outlet temperature? To me that would be much more informative, just wondering how accurate that would be though.
That's the outside temperature, its always really high when you start the car. When i get out of work, its around 95-98 outside and it will say around 100-110 for the first minute or so until i start driving. its normal espically if its humid outside.

I went to top up this morning and every gas station near my house was out of gas
. I'm sat at work right now too

Yeah, this was after a short drive. I'm used to seeing 100ish when I first get in, but this was over 125 after being driven: never seen that before.

Gotta be here until the market closes, so only another 90 minutes or so. Galveston's taking a fair old hammering and we haven't even started yet! I'm thinking this isn't going to be very pretty.
So back on topic...
I found the sensor, it's located just to the right of the hood latch. It comes off a wiring harness shared by the horn and is a simple 2 wire sensor with a plastic covered temp probe.
I'm working up an aluminum housing that will mount to the top right corner of my FMIC, should still read outside air temp when cruising around but double as an Intercooler temp outlet reading when I get on the boost. It won't be as accurate as having a probe inside the piping but it should give me a rough idea of temp increases over ambient from a few full throttle runs compared to running for 20-30 minutes on a road course.
