USCC Evo X???
Has anyone seen the new Sport Compact car with the ultimate street car challange lineup?? AMS's evo X is in there and i want to see what it's up again. If anyone has a copy please scan it in!! I haven't been able to find a copy here in town yet.
1. Nissan GTR with an exhaust and Cobb tune.
2. Mazda 3 built by the Bergenholtz brothers, GT28R turbo
3. E30 BMW with a BMW V8 (with supercharger) from a 740i. And the rear half of the car is almost a tube frame.
4. 1996 Subaru Impreza 2-door with STI drivetrain.
5. NSX with a 3.8L V6
6. R32 GTR with a R34 GT-R N1 spec motor.
7. 1990 Audi Quattro with a 4.2L V8 from I think the S4
8. 2007 STI with a built motor, Full-Race GT40 setup.
9. Twin turbo 350Z
I think I heard one of the cars didn't actually make it to the competition.

Wow. That is some stiff competition. Should be interesting. The R32 or the R35 could take it pretty easily. I wish they would have thorwn a stock or modded Z06 as well. Should be a pretty interesting group though.
Yes our car was in the mix!
Stay tuned for next months issue on who takes it home. Its a really good competition.
There were some heavy hitters in there going up against our very mildly modified EVO X.

Go AMS. I can see the Evo at least placing well in all the events even if is doesn't win and event it may be well rounded enough. And it is normally the heavy hitters that DNF before the end of the competition. I'm sure that with it being AMS's car it will run strong for al the events!!! Damn it is going to be a long month.

"Sport Compact Car Ultimate Street Car Challenge.
Once again, we've gathered a collection of cars and owners not content with being great. They demand the title: 'ultimate' and are willing to run through our cockamamie concoction of trials to prove it. The USCC isn't some watered-down, feel-good cocktail. It has flavor like a bitter winter brew, the kind that leaves a foul taste the morning after. But every year, when it comes around, you're ready for another sip. We start with the standard ingredients we're known for. Radar guns, dynos and accelerometers. Oh yeah, when it comes to performance data, we serve it raw. But as long-time readers know, it doesn't stop there."

Just read the article myself. Wanted to clear some misinformation up.
The article states we were running a sleeved block. While we had planned on putting a built motor in for the event, we ran out of time and that motor is still sitting on a stand at the shop. Our Evo X is still on a 100% bone stock motor.
