Anyone know how much the 8 fq400 weighed? Wondering if they did any weight reduction? They should do some on this X for sure!

The 400 might tempt me if they (which they won't) brought it here. The 360 and lower models don't get the wide range of tweaks the 400 does, and the thing does go like snot. Of course everything has a value, and $80k, no matter how much power it has, is way more than any Evo's worth. I might pay as much as $60k, but even then, once I got inside, I might change my mind. They'd have to (even though I don't even think of it on a $30k Evo), seriously upgrade the interior for that kind of money.

It can be done. BMW imported a few limited M3's in 95 that were sold with certain parts off the car and once the car was sold, the owner could put the parts on the car. Realistically though...probably won't happen.

You can't just go by direct price conversion. Cars in general are MUCH MUCH more expensive in the UK than they are in the USA. Even the base Evo X GSR in the UK (FQ-300) is about $20-30k more expensive than the ordinary GSR over here.

If they actually brought the FQ-400 to the US, it would more than likely be much cheaper than even $60k.

Hmmmmmm......I wonder if they are going to have all kinds of issues with this FQ400 that they did with the other ones.......

Thoses who seen Top Gear know what I'm talking about. Engine stalling, abscene turbo lag and the rest of the crap that came along with it. New car, hopefully it will take to the upgrades better than the previous models....but who knows?

I guess we'll just have to see...

I agree, if Mitsubishi could bring the FQ400 to the states and price it below 60K, like Cadillac just did with the new CTS-V (They priced it at $59,995 http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/17/c...v-from-59-995/)

Then it would be one of the best cars for the money.

Although, I'm seriously loving this new CTS-V. The performance and price is out of this world, if you can get one for MSRP that is. The interior is also beautiful in my opinion.

why would they, when they can sell it for that price no time?
All around the world the Evo is cost at least 35% more .
And every where else they selling faster and more unit then here. The states is far from being the primary market for the Evo.
We got really lucky with these prices.

So i don't think the British really care what we want here as far as the evo goes...

As with the previous generation, FQ-400 means 400 Hp at the flywheel. That’s probably about 350 or so at the wheels. Don’t get too excited.
