Anyone negotiated a price on a 2008 MR lately?
$45K MSRP on a MR is simply ridiculous. Mitsu is seriously behind the curve compared to the competition. For example, 2009 Subaru WRX comes with 265bhp, 0-60 in 4.7s (!), and only $25K MSRP. I say wait till next year when Mitsu will have to bump up the power and drop the price. At only 290bhp, MR needs to drop to $30K MSRP.

You are dreaming if you think that will happen..and there are no HP increases for the next model year...after that, who knows
oh yeah, of course it won't happen. but Mitsu needs to seriously shake up their Lancer lineup, esp Ralliart and Evo, to keep up with competition. When a $25K '09 WRX is quicker than $40K Evo X, that's just embarrassing.
the new subaru wrx does not go 0-60mph in 4.7. Never heard such a thing. Every article i saw doing the 09wrx went 0-60 in 5.3. Either way that is quick but i doubt it will go faster than the sti, don't be stupid

2009 Subaru Impreza WRX - Short Take Road Test
The heavily revised and vastly improved WRX is quicker than an STI. Seriously.
