Well, I just spoke to WORKS and they were very nice and offered to give me a credit towards the purchase of something else or a refund. I actually said to just leave the money on account because I'll probably buy something else from them later on down the road. As I said before , they make good products in general, it's just that whoever they outsourced to make their filter did a subpar job on assembly of these things. Gluing metal to rubber is a no no, especially when oily residue is going to be around there from the filter. Either way, the guys at WORKS are good people and stand behind their products, so if anyone has an issue like what I had, they will take care of you.

One small luxury I afford myself is to never re-use or re-oil these high flow filters. The HKS at about $40 is just about cheap enough to toss out once a year.

Your words sure sound like you submerged the thing so very understandable that people thought that. Maybe learn to word things better befor jumping down their throats.
