Great find. I wonder if the floor guides are really as affective as the article states. If it is, I would for sure consider ordering a set.

$670 for 2 piece of plastic, come on.

I don't know about you guys, but If I can pay such money for 2 piece of plastic without a 2nd thoughts, I highly doubt I'll be driving or even considering a budget sport sedan like the evo.

Anyway, its just plastic, if they are really effective, be prepare to see replica (for a faction of the price) for them soon.

Would that diffuser (Japanparts) negate the need for the 'big' wing ?

Good luck then when you get the replica .. by the time you change the 2nd set of feelers .. I think the price will cost more than the original .. or even better .. the whole piece strips under the loading ..

They are expensive .. don't use them if you don't need them .. its that simple ..

I think these are made out of a ABS type rubber instead of plastic. I wonder if trimming the edges of the wind guides throw off the aerodynamics much.....

LOL, This is the stuff I was hassling you about a month ago, Russell.

Interestingly, the front lip documentation cautioned that I use the brake cooling guides (to keep brakes cooled properly) and rear gurney flap (to keep front-rear aerodynamics in check) if adding front spoiler. Did not seem like a selling ploy, but a genuine warning. So, I am guessing it makes a difference.

Now, aerodynamics wise - I think the front lip with flap, the rear wing and the gurney flap on wing do make a difference along with underbody air guides. Side skirts don't do squat IMHO and from what I can tell by reading it. I am glad I have the wing and lip with no side skirts. I hate stepping over those running boards...

Speaking of VG's, there is no proof I have seen that the X benefits from a VG, else mitsu would have added it. I think the VG is pure bling blang on the X

Paging rexpeed, Paging rexpeed....

I'd hope they are not hard plastic - Debris and stuff could destroy them. That would be a waste of 700 bux!

Actually, with the way the rear spoiler is designed to have different angles for the vortex coming off the corner and the straight lines coming off the roof, I'd say that a Vortex Generator would cause more drag and get you less down force in the rear.

In other words, a VG would actually hurt performance and cause drag.
