Strange problem.

So I was out driving a few minutes ago, and just ran into a strange issue. Whenever I go into boost, I hear a loud whooshing noise, almost like the air conditioning going on full blast, but louder. I also think the car go slower. I didn't test going WOT because I didn't want to mess up the car so I drove under 3K rpm's all the way home. It drove fine as long as I didn't boost. Any idea what this could be? Piping coming loose or something else?

Possibly your UICP. I know I heard the same loud whooshing sound when getting into boost when I didnt fit and tighten my UICP properly.

+1, sounds like loose charge piping.

Yeah, it was one of the clamps on the UICP that came loose. Thanks for the help.

Got another problem now. I tightened the clamp down, but now I hear a high pitched squealing/squeaking noise when I hit boost. Kind of sounds like a mouse. Any idea what this could be? Is it possible to tighten too much? I have the upgraded Vibrant couplers and T bolt clamps...

You're still having leaking problems if you're hearing that mouse noise.

Tighten it up.
