Just Tinted and filled the X for the first time

Yup i did all that with my X today...

The legal 35% actually looks pretty good.i was afraid that it was goin to have that pointless tint look, but it really looks good.now the cops dont have too much to nail me on if they chose to be stupid and pull me over.what kinda gas do u guys put in yur X.i only put 93 in my hatch since i put a b18 motor in it.it last much longer and i just the cheaper octanes i just dotn trust.i toold the salesman to only put 93 in the X when i go to pick it up, but when i got their he told my premium only which i assume is 91.thats what i use today and it only cost $22.95.i hate this break in period!im babying the car i know i have to.not that i plan to dogin it ever cuz i know i wont, but ppl try to test me.

when i was at the tint shop this dude driving WRX drove past the shop and his g/f in the passenger seat almost broke her neck tryin to turn around to look at the X! it was hilarious! then about five mins later they drove right behind my X when they were pullin it into the shop.im like they really wanted to c it.then they came into the shop and i was at the computer lookin at wheels for my X.the girl was standing behind me and whispered as if i couldnt hear her,"thats it right there, that red car, i love it so much"! i had to try real hard not to turn around to say something to her since her man was right there

leaving my friends job today after showin him my X for the firsat time i drove past a Evo IX.those dudes almost crashed lookin at it, lol.i nkow ima have a interestign tiem driving my new car...any thoughts?comments?

If you have 93 available do yourself and your car a favor and use it.

using 93 on an X wont hurt anything even though it said premium only? becuz i have no prob using 93 at all, matter a fact i would use 94 if someone sad it was ok, i know of a few gas stations that have 94

Higher the octane rating the better your engine will run. (factory tune is designed around 93 octane, per what the manual said)

Every car that is designed to run on premium says in the manual, "PREMIUM (91 AKI minimum)." The east coast gets 93, the mid west and west gets 91. Most cars that are meant to run on premium run better on 93 than on 91. If you get tuned on 93, however, do NOT run 91 in your car. Those 2 octane points can make the difference of detonation or not if you're on an aggressive tune. Anyway congrats, and enjoy your car.

The cars is made to run around the 93 octane and will run better with it. If you can put 94 into I would.

Congrats man, you'll love the car. I still dont know if i want tint or not on my apex silver, well see i guess.
my short story: went to pep boys to buy some car washing stuff, came back out half of the shop was in front of my car just looking at it. They ask if i could pop the hood. they call more people over and we just chill for about 15 min talking about cars.

Using a higher octane will prevent knock. Posts above suggest that the engine is designed for 93 octane, so I would use at least that if it is available. Obviously, since the west coast is relegated to 91 octane at most stations, 91 won't hurt your car but it will probably force the ecu into a less aggressive mode. I believe WRXs do this if you need to put 89 octane in the tank. All this said, higher octane doesn't equate to better, but you need to use the minimum octane your car is tuned for.

premium means 91+ NEVER EVER use below 91 but use up to 94
