Hahaha nice!

Just speaking as someone with ACD the IX was amazing in the snow. Snow mode does wonders for stability in heavy snow. I am sure the X will be just as good or better considering it is a little heavier and different drivetrain.

To get to your question no X experience but snow tires and no drop should be fine.
I'm moving to the Fort Atkinson area. Ground clearance is my main concern at this point. I think I have seen the max capabilities of my lowered and supercharged mustang gt with snow tires today. I actually had to dig my car out at work. Once I hit the main roads clearance and grip weren't an issue. But digging my car out of it's parking space was an interesting experience. Is this about as bad as it gets around here?

How much snow are you seeing in Canada?

I was getting the snow symbol to pop up in the center a bunch, mainly because I was trying for snow drifting, but overall it is great for snow driving. I was passing everyone, and going up hills, braking, and going around bends with ease. Everyone else was going very slow and I was cruising along at normal pace. It was very fun to say the least, Minnesota winter's are full of win if you like snow.
Wow! 6 in of snow! I think that is actually greater than the vehicle's ground clearance. Well that sounds promising.

You have to have winter tires by law now right?

Evos do great in the snow with proper shoes (read: SNOW TIRES).

I have 3 degrees of camber up front and 2 degrees in the winter and I'm low as hell to the ground, yet I still embarass the most well equipped of SUVs...Blizzak LM25 for the win!

I have all-season Yoko Advan S4's on my X and it handles snow and sluch great. No problem with driving around in snow up to 3" For the record, my IX had the same tires on, and it also handled great in the snow and ice.
