Mitsu Mudflaps

Just noticed as I washed the car today that the rear mudflaps look like they are falling apart. Is anyone else noticing this? The metal on both rear mudflaps has pulled about an inch away from the rubber on both flaps. Only the metal facing the tires not the side that has the Lancer Evolution.

Yeah...that's what happens when you hit/bang them. LOL. In my case, add the snow and you have some fairly disastrous results.

yeah I figured it was from the snow. Is it covered? I think if you pay $230 for mudflaps (which I didn't. they were thrown in for free) they should be replaced or made better.

+1

I'm not really into the trucker look so I drilled out the rivets and took the metal plates off. Looks much better IMO. Plus you don't have to deal with them getting damaged from bottoming them out on things.

12 month/12k warranty

Check w/ your local dealer...they may or may not honor it on something like that.

I don't understand how someone can think that black mudflaps with a chrome 4" tall strip going across the bottom of the flap look good. I know its all personal opinion but the OEM flaps look like they came off of a semi and were trimmed down to fit on the evo IMO.
