Not really....I just dropped in a filter and notice that I can hear the bov better. Engine noise sounds a little sweeter and the power does come on a little smoother. As for real hp gains-I can't tell. Idle however seems to be more consistent and not so schizo as it used to be. Overall an easy mod for subtle results.

WM
it feels better because the afrs now are leaner..Once the car is tuned, the filter is pointless. I dynoed my car before and after the filter with the tune and there were NO GAINS at all
And therein lies the danger of ONE tuner publishing a thread that is misinterpreted and incomplete. You're fine to say you did not show gains after you were z-chip tuned, but to make a all-encompassing statement like the one in bold above is untrue, baseless, and misleading. It has been established that an intake does not yield THE SAME results with and without a tune, but not that there are no gains to be had at all. Even TTP's study showed some gains, and while minimal, they were gains just the same. Unless you have tested EVERY other tuning method with and without a tune, you should refrain from extrapolating one experience to the entire population.
That's funny because mine did....maybe you should learn how to tune? Or understand that not every car responds the same to mods.
