Should i get the reflash?

I finally got my X about 2 weeks ago now and Ive been experiencing the idle problem Ive read about so much. I have an appointment for 2:30 today to go get the flash done, but Ive also read about people receiving problems from it? Should I get it or no? Quick answers would be awesome because if i dont hear anything, Im going to go ahead and do it.

Thanks

I got mine a week ago, i'm also thinking the same thing: should i or should't i . 'cause my car's idle is fine without AC, happened twice with AC on. didn't seem like a big problem for me,so i also didn't want to mess it up to reflash the ECU.
does your car acts like mine? only idles funny when AC on(not every time)? I wonder why dealer didn't reflash the ECU before we drive cars home. let me know what's the outcome.

I assume you mean the dealer is going to flash you? If you're stock I would have it done. If the car has problems after that then it's on them to address it.

Sorry, yes I mean the dealer flash. And thats what I was thinking, but at the same time Im the one who will be driving the car afterwards. : \

To answer you KEVOX, Its ***** out cold here in Montreal so I dont have my AC on hehe. A strange thing I did notice though was that if Im at a red light and I turn my wheels to the left my RPMS stutter from 1k to about 400 and go crazy for a second before re-settling somewhere in the middle. Very strange if you ask me.

I had the reflash done and the idle is kind of better. But I've also had other things start happening once I got the Mitsu reflash. A couple times when driven ablve 4500-5000 rpm the car started sputtering really bad, almost like a fuel cut or rev limiter. Also, when I'm normally accelerating and part way let off the throttle, the car slightly bucks or jerks (can't come up with a good word) when it didn't do this before.

After I got my reflash I noticed my car runs smoother with less of a jerk when boost comes on. I also dont stall out when reversing anymore. AND my gas mileage improved a little.

I've got both reflash's from the dealer and have yet to run into issues from either reflash. Other peoples' car will differ of course.

wouldnt the car jerking and sputtering be due to the BOV? do you have aftermarket parts on it yet? my car has the sputtering/jerking problem but i thought it was due to my 20psi of boost or BOV.

also i had this reflash done with my IC pipes/intake/bov on the car already and noticed no difference.

I currently have zero mods. I replaced my AMS CB exhaust (for sale cheap!) with the stocker. I don't know what the deal is. I'm thinking possibly fouled plugs so I'll pull them maybe this weekend. If so, I'll see if the dealer will replace them.

You know, I can live with rattles and little quirks but Mitsubishi really should fix the engine/ecu problems.
