Im close to 500miles on my odometer. So far, everything has been good. No idle problems, no grinding whatsoever when shifting, cold or hot. And last, when I punch it , I dont see any black smoke. Or any signs of running rich. Not to mention that my oil doesnt smell like gasoline, nor is it dirty at the moment..

My car was built Feb 2008. I know others have complained about some of these issues listed above. I remember some of those had cars that were built in Aug. Are there anymore members here. That your car was built in Feb.? If so, are you guys having any minor problems? Thanks..

ps. My dealer also told me that my car did not have ANY up to date factory ECU flashes to..

mine is built in feb 2008 i believe. i have the notchyness, black smoke, idle issue. all of these are occasionally, but i do get them.

my dealer said the same thing about the flash, but it's cause they wont flash it till you get a cel.

 

Mine was built in Dec. 2007. I am at 12xxx miles and used to have a little grinding but that disappeared after 5000 miles and I had the black smoke but my tune cleared that right up. I have never had a problem with my car and after the tune my car feels even more reliable so I am not too worried about all the problems that I see floating around this and every other forum. knock on wood

Seems to be completely random... And largely based on the owner themselves, something you may think is normal is completely unacceptable to someone else. I myself have nothing to complain about and mine was probably one of the first off the assembly line.. ENJOY! You won't regret it

 

Build date for me is December 2007. I only owned the car for one day before I had it flashed but I did experience the erratic idle and hesitation issues. The gears do grind a little and this disappears once the car is warm just like others. Other than that I have had no other issues. No black smoke or anything out of the ordinary (knock on wood). With that said, I only have 25XX miles on the car.

 

i only got the idle problem after the intake but a custom heat shield fixed that and i have the black smoke after i did the turbo back exhaust. but a tune will fix that right up.

 

pretty sure mines a pre dec build (since i got it in jan 08)

tranny feels like the other two mitsu's ive owned (so no issue to me)

had hesitation and idle real bad at the begining, still on the original ecu (no flash or tune) but that went away after i changed filters for a month or so way back when.

just got all i/c pipe, o2 housing, dp, rally cat, and straight pipe, with aem intake

have a bit of a idle deal now (but since it all just got done since christmas and about 1000 miles, im sure it will go away)

and i can make people behind me disappear if i punch it.... (which im sure will be gone once i get my intercooler and tune)

but with almost 30k miles on the car, i cant complain.

at the moment putting down 300whp and loving it. cant wait to feel it at 350

 

Thats a good point you just made. Especially someone like me. Whos use to driving a 8 liter pushrod V10. Talk about noises . D_mn you should hear her when I fire her up in the morning..
