4G63 RIP (New license plate)
I own a x and I take no offence when certain ignorant IX owners hate on it. It's threatning when the new version of something that you own and love and have spent alot of money on comes out. But they have to keep in mind that were not competing, there has to be more brand loyalty shown by evo owners. Here are the facts: THE NINE DOMINATES ALL IN SHEER PERFORMANCE & SPEED AND IS A LEGEND. No one denies that. Now, THE 10 although only going on two years old, OUT HANDLES ALL WITH THE 4B11T'S LOWER CENTER OF GRAVITY AND LIGHTER WEIGHT AND S-AWC. X'S ALSO RESPOND TO MODS BETTER THEN NINES, PERIOD! I love all evo's but bought a x after reading what Ryugo Nakao said in Turbo Magazines may 08' issue... "To date the main thrust has been how fast we can make them go... But in our view things have now changed. Today's new generation of super high-performance machines need to deliver more than absolute speed; they have to wrap that speed in safety and comfort". 
Now let's worry about the real enemy... NISSAN's 370z & BMW's 1 and 3 series.

I agree, the Evo community in-fighting is ridiculous. To everyone else out there, an Evo is an Evo, whether VIII, IX, or X. Every legendary car has gone through some sort of transformation during its life cycle.
When someone gets stomped by an Evo, I doubt they care which one it was. They just drive away and hide their shame because they should have known better in the first place

LMAO I can't believe this thread turned into 4G63 vs 4B11.
4G63 is no longer in any of the production models, either in the states or in Japan, which means it is dead.
The OP clearly stated that he is paying tribute to one of the greatest engines there ever was, why do some people take offense on this?
As for 4B11 vs 4G63, just accept the fact 4B11 is superior:

Lancer Evolution is a car that is more of a marketing and racing purpose for Mitsubishi than to generate direct profit through sales. If there is no performance gain over 4G63, they would have just re-used the 4G63. It is not really the matter of saving a few bucks on the cost of engine production for the evo (unlike other production lines).
Besides, wouldn't it be more insulting to 4G63 and 4G63 owners if Mitsubishi knowingly replaced it with an inferior engine?

as long as it's in good funAnd I did read the whole thread. The OP is clearly paying respects to the engine that will no longer be produced NEW. No one ever said that it doesn't "rip", or that people have stopped working on them. Obviously far from it.
