sucks for the fact that if you get it fixed you dont know if they are going to come back and break it again.

i had some stuff in the back since i just got back from napa, my camera stuff was taken!!

oh well, crap happens, and with the economic state, maybe people are getting more desperate...

just my slr and 2.8 telephoto, 1.8 50mm, and some filters but thats like a good $1500 right there. i had some luggage, backpack and clothes amongst my camera bag and thats all they took.

and yeah, i called my insurance and some glass places, its about 550, and just to be clear its the driver rear door window, sorry i typed it while all flustered so i wasnt very clear.

i'm actually more bothered about the pictures i lost than the car. the lens was a graduation gift, camera was some other gift, and so im more angry about the sentimental value of the stuff than the monetary.

so.....yeah....i'll keep you guys updated. if i ever find it on craigslist or ebay, that should be an interesting turn of events...

Oh no ! From my understanding of insurance through all of my experience is that any electronics or anything NOT connected/installed in the car (iPod,laptops, cameras, etc...) is not covered by an auto insurance plan. However it was also brought up to me that a home owners policy may cover it if it happened while parked in the property driveway or whatnot.

My brother had a bunch of stuff stolen (radar detector, Garmin, etc...) and he had to file a home owners claim to recover the loss.

Definitely keep us posted. Hope this helps and it works out for the best

Doesn't have a vibration/sound alarm.

It has a door handle alarm.

Sup guys, so yea i need to get an alarm and probably a better horn cuz no one would hear that factory horn...haha

Not getting reimbursed for the photography gear since its not in my home owners ins. policy, and car policy wont cover it either. getting the window fixed as we speak and i guess ill just have to save up for some new photography gear.

Sorry to hear that man. Although my brother has State Farm and had to push to get his stuff covered. So maybe if you talk to the right person they will allow it. He was denied by a couple people before someone allowed the claim. Just my .02$ since it is a pretty significant loss. Insurance companies will do all they can to avoid claims.

Also here is a decent thread on alarms for the X. I wrote a nice post about mine

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ket-alarm.html

I also have the master lock club ($20).
