Chrome paint chipping off?
on my handbrake, the chrome paint on the button is already chipping off...and it only has 425 miles! does anyone else have this problem? think my warranty can cover it?
the plastic clear piece came off the top of my shift knob soon after i got the car...the part that goes over the gear numbers...i didn't do anything about it...also the paint started chipping off of my ashtry....kinda up under the front lip...so i just scraped it all off so it would be black under there...lol...i mean if you get it replaced it's just gonna happen again probably....but my parking brake is fine

If the item is defective, have the dealer/mfgr replace it under warranty. If the second, third, fourth, & fifth replacements are still defective, keep getting it replaced until the quality improves or they offer financial incentives for you to stop bugging them about their sub-par quality. Otherwise you're essentially rewarding the manufacturer for making a sub-quality product when they should be punished.
If no one "corrects" the bad manufacturing processes, the product will never get better. Basic law of capitalism.
yeah to not reward them is not to buy another car from them which i don't plan on doing...lol..my next vehicle will be a truck...a nissan frontier...it doesn't matter anyways...like they care if i buy another car from them...there's millions of other people that will buy a car from them...no matter what car company it is...besides these are very very minor defects....not like it's anything that bothers me or that can't be dealt with......every single car made has things that aren't exactly perfect on them....every car i've owned....no matter what brand....something is gonna break eventually....main thing is not to have engine problems or transmission problems....those are what makes the car go...lol...seriously though...i could buy an aftermarket shift knob if i thought it was a big deal....but it's not....and the ashtray thing isn't even visible when it's closed so no biggie there either....main problem on the ix is the rust under the rear crash beam....but i fixed that myself...yeah i could've got it done under warranty but it would be more of a hassle than just doing it myself...and i think i did a better job than they would've done anyways....i paint cars at a honda factory for my job so it's not like i don't know how to do it myself...and yes even our honda cars we send out have problems every now and then....and everyone knows honda has some of the highest quality cars made....no car is perfect....now if something was wrong with my engine or transmission...that would be a major problem and i would get it fixed under warranty...other than that not really worth the hassle to me
