Careful with the trunk! Weak!

This story happened to me the day before yesterday. You'll likely laugh a bit, as I laugh at it now, but was pretty upset when it happened.

Went grocery shopping with the Mrs. on the Evo. When we get back home, after unloading everything we were chatting as I closed the trunk. When I did, my sunglasses, which were on my head at the time, fell. My lightning speed reflexes , managed to juggle the sunglsses for a second, before I automatically made a movement with my left arm to grab them in the air from roughly my waist, height wise.

Again, because that last catch was pure reflexes, (picture yourself standing up, grabbing something in the air, roughly by your waist), I made a movement that brought my elbow back. (Picture yourself elbowing someone behind you)

While I did catch my sunglasses, I elbowed my trunk and left a NICELY sized dent next to the .

Needless to say, while I cried, the Mrs. called the Evo "cheap"..

LoL. That sucks dude. Paintless dent repair ftw. Find a reputable dude who can take care of this for less than $200. Post pics if possible.

All you have to do is remove the plastic inside so you can get to the dent and push it out with your hand - I have done this tons of times.

all you have to do is .... buy a CF trunk ... then scoff at the Mrs. for calling the Evo cheap

seems like an endless money pit to me ... always something new that I want to upgrade lol

The trunk is not aluminum. He should be fine with PDR. They can do a great job, and are pretty cheap.

Yeah try holding crap in your hands a few days after I bought the car and closing the trunk half way... Then lightly pushing it on top of the trunk with my elbow.. and putting a little dent in it.

Those PDR guys are artists. It takes a lot of practice to do it right, I still don't have it down yet.

Lightbulb

Do it your self like someone said above thats what I would do. Trunk should be a breeze to do plus you will get some alone time with the car.

P.S. (CF is always an option)
