Mounting the Go Pro camera on the X

If I stick that adhesive base right next to the foglight underneath the bumper. Which is painted by the way. Will the paint come off, when it comes time to remove it? Thanks...

a guy at the track tonight used the suction cup mount on top of the roof and it seem to hold up just fine.
