Its a recall, people.
It even states in the letter than if you had your cable fixed previously to go back. This is all new stuff.

I always write my mileage down on a sticky and post it right on the tach. That way they know I am well aware of the miles on the car.

I also got the letter mid week iirc.

Think i should run and hurry and get it replaced or just wait and see what happens lol?
You should probably drop whatever you are doing and run to your nearest dealer ASAP.

it states that it only takes about an hour to do. If you sit there and watch them for an hour they wont take it anywhere. They dont need to test drive it for a hood latch replacement

joyriding is the least of my worries...you know the thing about people getting their cars back with cracked front lips, scratched paint, etc. etc...

i'll stroll to south coast soon...my hood latch seems to be getting harder to open.

I will just live with the old one, I don't want to take all my aftermarket parts off. That would give them a reason to black ball my car.

Just put my AEM intake on and don't want the dealer voiding anything. I guess i'll live with it until someone finds out the part numbers and I'll change it out myself if not to expensive.

hummm, picking up my EVO X today, if the latch feels crappy I'll get that fixed before I do any mods to not worry about it.

anything saftey related is recalled, if the hood fly's up, because it dosen't relatch latch properly that's a def safety issue. If it's not safety related it's a TSB
