I have the AEM intake installed for about 4 months now and it finally trew a code today... and I thought that the AEM intake is the only intake that would not give you the SES light.. other then that its running perfectly fine.. I guess i'll just reset the ECU and hopefully thats what i'll have to do every 3-4 months...

It's likely saying the long term fuel trims are too lean, a tune with a bit of extra fuel added in the offboost part of the load maps should correct an oversize MAF Housing. There may also be a better way of adjusting for the larger MAF at idle and cruise that won't mess up the Open Loop WOT tune. See if you can lookup the code you are getting.

but why sometimes the code will not appear in the first few months or first dynos, maybe by using the same/stock airflowtube/air inlet tube and used only the box/filter with make it safe with stock tune.

I threw a code at 1000 miles while smashing like 130 and I ended up with a high idle.I always keep a scan tool in the back of my trunk.I was thinking maybe I threw a code cause I had a mbc, intake, exhaust and no tune. But anyways code never came back after that.I had all those bolt ons at 600 miles. But never floored it till 1000 miles.
