I agree with most guys here, way too big. Not a fan of the wavy top too.

+1 for not using CF though.

Advice for any merchant (or merchant to be) here, before you start making something for full scale production, its helps to show your prototype/mock up to the people of interest.

This could have been a best seller if it just sits lower ( & less wavy in my opinion)....

OP should email his contact at the company back and link them to this thread. Everyone seems to agree that the concept is great but the size is just a little too big. If they could slim it down, or atleast make the housing smaller for 52mm gauges, this thing would sell like hot cakes.

Do you need to drill a hole in your dash in order to plum the wires?

hopefully they're still refining the product to take the X owners suggestions into consideration. i love it, but think if it was the same angle as the oem cluster hood it would be better. if it were 1 piece that molded into the navi/radio area it would be perfect and not quite liking how it just sits on top of the dash... and drilling or cutting would be madd gay.

The problem is, most of the center gauge pods will be universal, meaning that they will cover both 60mm and 52mm gauges. It is done this way for them to keep costs down. Highly unlikely that they will make 2 types. In fact, they are already being sold in the market as is. On the plus side, (you cant see it in the pics) the texture is made to match the dash exactly..
