Now that the winter is over.....

Now that the winter is over, did any of you run into any issues with damaging your X while trying to push through snow higher than the cars ground clearance? Any cracked bumpers? Dented intercoolers?

Did any of you run into the situation where you had to go through snow drifts higher than the vehicles ground clearance? If so how did it perform?

So why where the threads merged?

I also asked this question in the RA section, I wanted to know if they were experiencing these issues as well. Because I'm looking at both models as a future buyer. They are two different platforms with two different clearance levels. What is the big deal?

Same question. More or less same car. The question can be answered in about the same way - 1 thread.

And its been covered by the CT9A owners also - the Evo/RA/Lancer does fine in the winter.

I did it I looked like no damage at all, except bend front fender and pushed-in fog light frame, but the dealership changed the whole bumper because where couple internal holders broken.
My car has factory suspension, but the snowbank was too big to eat

I think that snow bank was approx. 50cm height. Everywhere else there was 20-30cm. And the speed was at least 100km/h. I was drifing in old military airport. The only thing I hated - the front fender become full of snow and non removable ice and blocks airflow to the intercooler.

Like a champ! Don't worry you'll be fine, just invest in some winter tires.

Drove in multiple snow storms like nothing, no damage present.

Wow! That is deep. 20-50cm is 8 inches to 2 ft of snow!
