Up here in Canada we don't even have the option for SSS on the GSR! Plus we pay more for the car too!

 

Better than no evos! But yeah, no SSS packages bites. It's a scam! Pretty sure people will start importing from the states soon~

 

axtran you are smokin major crack! SSS package rules, and the fast key is fantastic. I have got so spoiled using it. And btw if the fast key fails, there is a hard key in the transmitter you can pull out to start the car which you have to have on you to use the fast key. Anyway I agree with others, this thread is pointless. If you dont like the SSS package fine, to each his own. But since you dont have it why even bother starting a thread about anyone else hating the package? I like the HID's, I like the 650w soundsystem, I LOVE the big WING! its an EVO dude have you not ever seen the earlier versions? Thats what makes it cool, the car looks weak without the BIG WING...IMHO, and if you dont get the big wing your EVO looks like a Lancer GTS which I am not happy about with the EVO 10. That is what set the EVO's of before apart they looked so different from the regular Lancer, and the fast key is awesome.

 

I find it difficult to find a reason to HATE the SSS package.

I can live without the stereo system and the large wing. But not having HID and FAST key is unacceptable to my taste.

 

how can you tell on photos if the car has SSS - does this car?

Looks to me since it has the Big wing it will have the SSS package, but that might not be the case, you can always buy the big wing. I would stop and check if the headlights are Xenon, if the stereo says RockfordFosgate, then it has the SSS package

 

That is the sss package...you can see the front lip of the aero kit...

 

SSS does not include the aero kit, it's an option package. You can get a base GSR with the aero kit as well, so simply having that additional bodywork tells you nothing.

Still, the spoiler does imply it's an SSS.

 

the amp in SSS package sucks. Same with the wing. I like the lights and fast key tho.

 

I think you might get rare exceptions, but most people will dig the sss package. Too bad it wasn't available north of the border

 

I love how all of these people talk about hating the SSS package and don't even know what it is.

Like most people who have posted thus far, I really like it. I would have preferred a SSSL package, though. I'd kill for leather seats in my X.
