LOL, I couldn't resist. Sorry.

My cousins best friends wifes uncles mistress knew someone who traded their X for a IX. Wasn't raw enough so he moved to the UK, and traded it for a VI. Still wasn't raw enough so he moved to Japan and traded it for a III. Didn't quite do it for him so he traded it for a I. Suspension was still too soft so finally he decided to just run around barefoot. Seems pretty happy.

I still miss my EVO 8 , yes the 10 is a better DD, but I miss the aggressive sharpness of my 8, oh well.

silver06evo9mr: great looking X but damn your IX is gorgeous!

IX-X has pros and cons. X is better all around while the IX gets u into trouble

This part of the above reply best mirrors my experience. The USA CT9A cars were castrated of their SAYC, so we never got to know how a complete one should drive.

Can any one put some input on the iron block vs aluminum block comparison. I know that Evo's 7-9 had some wonderful engines in terms of reliability when it comes to tunning and being able to contain that power but how are the 10's doinfg with that so far.

I am completely aware that once you start modding any car reliability goes out the window but I've been reading and hearing that these cars handle the added power pretty well; both in the engine and transmision, except the mr's.

I never had a evo 8-9 but I had a 05 STi, the STi was alot faster (just a few bolt ons) lighter too. I kind of miss the STi, I liked shifting it but the super smooth fast shifting twin clutch has got me hooked. I also think it looks better. Dont be scared of the 10, its a great car!

The go-cart comparison is pretty accurate.

I have both and I like the 9 better, it does exactly what you want/expect when asked, while the X MR, you are more like a voting member of a group (Electronics, Driving Aids, Transmission). While this does make a better daily driver and certainly a lot safer, it does numb the driving experience.

The X has a fresher design, AC is tons better, and is a bigger car, but for pure grin factor the IX wins.

And the fact you can not aggressively launch the X MR (not drag style) that sort of kills the AWD experience a bit. I do have second thoughts now on the SST, but obviously once it gets going the SST kicks butt, but the off the line is pathetic.

Drive one back to back a couple of times and it should be pretty clear. And if you plan on serious upgrades stay away from that 13k USD to replace tranny.

Do what your heat desires man, I like the looks of the X But much rather have an 8 or 9, for cost reason's but one thing is for sure those 4B11's respond pretty damn well with mods. I like the Gensuis as well, but from what I hear they use a closed deck as opposed to an open deck that the Evo's use I could have that mixed up.

The evo is a semi closed deck.

I wouldn't say that.... Most people that have the X are very happy with what it is. There are just goods and bads for both cars just like in any other comparison. It's rare to just have an outright better newer version in everyway possible.

keep the SE, it is rare and has all of the best OEM evo parts (suspension, alum roof, hid's, upgraded interior).

What I was aiming for, and was also just kidding btw. If I traded my IX in for a X though I would feel like it would be the worst decision I ever made.
