Well it looks like according to ur profile, u sold an 06 evo. If you sold the 08 too, you'd be evo-less, wouldn't want that now would we?

I know if I did that i'd be full of regret. As long as it's a weekend car and not something you'd be DD'ing a lot, you're better off keeping it. At least you'll have something fun while ur trying to get back on ur feet.

Southcoast Mitsu is one of the bigger vendors here, they are offering $5K off brand new GSR+SSS, which brings it down to $30K combined with 0% APR... sorry to break it to you, but that's pretty close to what you are asking for your car.

Average depreciation for a new car as soon as you drive it off a dealer's lot is around $5K off for a $30K car. So assuming you can get a new X for $30K, best scenario... a used X will be around $25K with only a couple of thousand miles on the ODO. (Taxes & fees are already considered "burnt" money and is always not taken into account when depreciation is calculated)

yeah I understand that... taxes and tags make it a bit more as well.

^ true, but I was under the impression that buying a used car (even privately) will still incur fees & other costs from DMV... no idea though how much it would be for a $28K used auto. Still, the 0% APR and the thought of a brand new car will still make it more desirable... at least for me.

In any case, good luck... I hope things will work out for you.
