i've already been seeing some evo x's for under $28k, yet the evo ix's are still in the mid 20's...if money wasn't a factor would you have made the same choice?

keep it stock...it'll be more rare than most raced/riced out evo's on the road.

nice buy. Although i wish the x RR were actually red like the 8 and 9 and not maroon. Keep it stock and then when you get bored mod it. You can even start collecting parts and just wait to put them on.

best advice you will ever get...

if you dont like it... atleast drive it stock (motor wise for as long as possible). Then keep it simple... or you'll endup with a race car you can never take anywhere... lol

I plan on keeping it stock for the most part. Upgrading the stereo is about it. I keep reading on how a tune smooths out the car so I may get one too. Going from a cushy luxury car (05 A6 V8) to the X was a shock until a hit a corner and the car stayed flat!

Casper3043 - I had the choice and went with the X! The X is much more refined than the previous models. At first I didn't like the styling of the X but it grew on me and I love it now.

I would have considered the STI more if it wasn't for that ugly hatchback... I really like the new WRX sedan though.. and though it's a step down from the Evo, for what it is... it's a fast little car.

I think that has more to do with the fact that the new ones were at 0% for so long that there was no sense in paying as much for them when you could get it cheaper new. The 0% has now gone to a max of 48 months which will change things a bit, BUT when that is gone you will see the prices increase, or level off a whole lot more.

I'd be surprised if he did... I understand that it's 0% for 48 months max now.
