Read the owner's manual

Hi all,

This community is one of the best I've seen. Extremely active and helpful but I'd like to ask that those of you who keep answering questions by saying read the manual to please stop.

You guys need to recognise that this forum has a readership beyond the USA. I am a Caribbean national, Jamaican to be specific and we rearly, if ever, receive the owners manual when we purchase JDM cars. So when we ask questions that are covered in the owners manual...it is not that were are lazy. It is because we don't have the manual or its in Japanese.

I agree, when someone asks a question on forums they deserve a legitimate answer. Replying with remarks like, "RTFM" intimidates others from actively participating on these forums. Granted, some questions are asked way too many times and have been discussed thoroughly before, however, I urge members to post productive responses.

I agree for a foreign market to ask a question. I can understand that.

But, for guys who live in the US, when they ask a simple question that is covered in the owner's manual, they should check there first. There are too many threads on this forum that clog things up and push down all the good information. Just check your owner's manual first. If it isn't in there, post your question and someone will know the answer.
