anyone know where i could buy oem trunk lid for evo x? also is it prepainted???thanks

 

They come unpainted according to my local dealership.

 

There are some vendors on the forum who can help you. Check the vendor listings and send them a PM.

IIRC, the trunk lid actually does come pre-painted in any of the available colors. In fact, most body panels come pre-painted (except the rear bumper for some odd reason).

 

I checked once with a local body shop. They told me OEM unpainted, about $750.

 

You guys are right. The trunk lid does NOT come pre-painted. Sorry for any confusion.

You should be able to get the OEM lid for under $300 (does not include any badges or any of that stuff). Cost of paint job will vary.

 

You can get it (like mentioned above) for 300 at cost from a dealer. If you dont' have an account set up with them, it'll be $51 more. You might be able to bypass that if you talk to a vendor here (also mentioned above).

 

If you are looking to get rid of your wing, make sure you order the trunk lid from a ES. Also, specify w/ or w/o FAST key. Also, the support brackets will have to be drilled and riveted in since the holes/fasteners don't come on the ES trunks.
