With most cars they tend to get a bit more loose/erratic, but I don’t think that would happen with the way the X is setup. What do you guys think?
It's definitely not the extraweight. Lighter would be better (assuming you remove the weight from the right places to keep the balance in proportion).

The X's amazing handling is from a combination of SAWC, stiffer chassis and wider stock tires. There's no denying...the Evo X does handle better than the VIII or IX

Since when is the Turbo cheaper than the GT3? The GT3 has almost always been the cheapest of the high end ones. I'm gonna have to check this out!

Anyway, they had to make the Turbo king to compete with the GTR. I'm sure they won't leave the GT3 or GT2 behind... Just gotta focus on priorities

The factory tires are wider? What size does the X have? I thought the VIII had 245s from the factory, but my factory tires didn't last long, so what do I know.

I believe the IX came with 235 while the X comes with 245.

Well there ya go. I had 255s most of the life of the car. I think my factory Advans lasted 3 months and like 5000 miles.

I have 7000 on mine and I have plenty of tread left. I'm sure I can go 20-25 k miles on them.

yes yes! you're right my bad, I forgot the GT3 is cheaper than the Turbo!
but yeah, I mean, GT2 was king so I think it'll come back as soon as Porsche is done advertising the Turbo.... which now does 3.2 seconds 0-60.................. I WANT!

Sorry, I had an VIII. Stickier tires. Mitsu fixed that with the later models by putting better street car tires on the cars.

GT2 will be king again I'm sure. Where did you read it does 0-60 in 3.2? Is there a magazine that has an article about it? 911 TT is my dream car, if I had a billion dollars to spend on any car I wanted, past or present even... I'd go to the dealer and buy a fully loaded 2010 911 TT.

Their website says 0-60 in 3.5 sec (for the manual coupe). 500 hp is insane, hopefully it is faster than the GTR now

Side note: The Boxster Spyder looks super sick.

You must drive on ice.
I got 7000 miles on the first set on my last X and they were dead. I have 6000 on these driving a lot nicer than last time, and they are 70% toast.

yeah, it's the first time I actually like a Boxster, it's butt reminds me a bit of the Carrera GT

I can't find the article now on the 911, but the 3.2 secs where on a PDK with the Overboost function turned ON

I wanna try out the PDK, I hear it is awesome... But I've just been so unimpressed with all the auto-mannys...

Yeah, ditto here. Like an Exige-S on steroids from what I can tell of the specs.

Think PDK=SST but with a bit more effort in engineering since Porsche can pay more and charge more

Hey I'd grab the Lotus in a heartbeat instead of the Boxster, much rarer, although the Porsche would be cheaper than an Exige-S or 260

Hopefully it is much better than the SST. Especially with handling more power.

I wouldn't, but I'm a huge Porsche fanboy... so... Well, that, and I see Lotuses all the time here for some reason. Not crazy often, but as often as I see Evos for sure.

But for 60k, I'd pick up a used Turbo.

Same here... I think Porsche is the actual Ultimate Driving Machine, not a freaking BMW

Agreed, way off topic here, but I loved my Carrera, if it weren't for the damn cost of upkeep being way too much for me right now, and the looming 60k mile service bill... I would've kept that till it died.
