This ad is missing all the spec's like, hp, torque, performance number, etc. Why do automotive manufactures not get this when marketing a car?? It's so frustrating that this ad only appeals to people that know what the Evo is. You're average Joe would have no clue.

Totally has that "Need for Speed: Shift" feel to it. Been playing that a lot since it came out. Cool, but not unique enough.
I have to say, the commercials of when the 2008 Lancer first came out, where the two guys are paddle shifting through the clover leaf onramps on the highway, really caught my attention, and it's what lead me to consider a regular lancer as a new car. The Lancer GTS is when lead me to trade it in for my Evo. So, essentially, I own an Evo because of one of their commercials.

I haven't seen any mitsu commercials for a while on tv and just saw 2 last night. One was for the regular lancer, same ol boring stuff, the other was for the new outlander with the s-awc system.
What frustrated me more was they didn't even bother to push that as an improvement but just quickly flashed it by as just another feature.

they really dont need any Evo commericals becasue it is probley more of a waste of money for them because someone that wants or knows what an Evo isnt going to get it becasue of the commercial... I bet young kids by tC's becasue of the commericals n it probebly works because they know nothing about car's... n tC's look like the best modding cars ever in there commericals
What Mitsu needs to do is... have the fans create one for them. They should host a Make-an-EvoX-commercial contest and post on all popular Evo Sites (ie. here). I'm sure a lot of fans have video-editing talents and be more than willing to do the work for them... the winning video will then be professional edited with minor touches. They can handout inexpensive prizes like Ralliart parts, appearance kits, etc.
Everybody here bought the Evo knowing what an Evo is, how much horsepower n everything.. all this commercial need is to get attention.. n its attracting attention as we bump this thread.. positive or negative it's not going to effect your decision..
like everybody else said...super weak commercial. they should have used real footage of a real car on a track, or autoX, or rally, or rallycross, or all of the above. instead, they drive a computer generated car in a straight line and tell us to defy physics...how exactly is that defying anything?
