That is one of the reasons I bought the EVO. To have some fun in the snow! If we ever get any. Just get some good snow tires and let it rip. I am yet to understand why people buy cars like this and treat them like trailer queens. No offense but come on this isn't a porshe or a lamborghini.

especially in THIS area in michigan I used to drive my rear wheel drive sports car with sand bags... first snow of the year everyone knew how to handle it... in DC area f*ing forget it.

To the areas defense for some reason this area gets a really good rain/freezing rain/snow mix that can be nasty and result on a bunch of strait-up ICE on the road... AWD won't save you from strait-up ice.

I agree I try and stay in as much as I can on days like this, Also the ice refreeze in our area to me is worse than a foot of snow. Black ice is sometimes hard to see and once on ice its very hard to gain traction.

Your Kia can make it through 8 inches of snow! Amazing!

Kinda wish I had snow tires for the Evo. Maybe next year. For now, the Evo stays in the garage on snow days, except for maybe a little fun sliding on summer tires.

you don't need snow tires to have fun in the snow, just know your limits.
