HP has nothing to do with it. It was his Tq. 450 is pretty high for a stock rear end.

450 wtq thats got to be over 550-600 at the engine, plus all those launches, seems the stocker is pretty tough...

 

yes it is , but some people dont like the X rear end.... Mostly because they dont have it
If you wanna drag race with the evo, you should keep in mind the rear end is not a solid axle and so. The evo is not designed to be a drag car, so you have to upgrade many parts for that.
Too sticky tires - strong clutch and too much TQ will finish the rear, in any evo no question. Unless they are upgraded drive train wise.
