I'd suggest you have someone examine the car for unseen damages

Get it to a shop or dealer. They will have to examine the axle, etc, up on lifts.

yup, get everything in the rear inspected, you'll need an alignment too.

If you hit the wheel that hard it could possibly be a wheel bearing issue. I would bring it to the dealer and see what else is wrong with it if you're not 100% sure. Good luck on the repairs.

Today seems to be the day for bad luck. My my transfer case whine went from bearable to omfg this needs to be replaced tomorrow.

Too hard to tell over the internet. Take it to a reputable suspension shop or your local dealer, they should be able to narrow down the problem for you easily. Let us know what it turns out to be. Sorry to hear about your luck.

Cheers

I did the same thing in my lancer . I had a bad wheel bearing that went unnoticed for a while. Make sure you bring it somewhere to be looked at.

Lucky that wasnt your axel. Usually, when the "suspension area" makes popping noises like that, its the axel. You got lucky sir, as well as your pockets.
