Looking for Good pics of how you jack your car up.

I have seen so many people jack up their EVO X's the wrong way. I usually use my buddies lift, but since he sold his shop I had to buy myself a nice floor jack. Can someone show detailed pictures of where they jack their car up from to take off the wheels or to just put it on 4 jack stands. The pinch welds are not the answer, and I don't want to damage anything underneath the car.

MY IX I jacked up from the front and rear of the car.

WOW thanks buddy for your help.

Can we stay back on topic please. I can go the front tow hook and the rear diff, but I would like to see some pics. BTW: I have searched and have found 3 other similar threads, but no detailed pictures.

if you jack from the front put the jack on the brace looking thingy that is under the engine, if its from the back then use your rear end, and from the side use the chassy the bulky part that run under your car on both sides..

Why not use the ones mitsu recommends? Between the two notches on the chassis just inside of each wheel.

theres a thread on here with posts from me and stoked that have some pics and a thread of mine on another evo x forum that has some pics as well.

Essentially theres a spot on the front and the diff on the rear you can jack from. The rear is easy to get to, but the front one requires that you take off the plastic undertray.

Just worried about bending that spot on the chassis. I have seen it happen so many times. Also if I jack it up there, how can I put my jack stand there to.

It doesn't bend--if you look under your car you'll see two sets of notches. Put the jack on piece of metal between the inside-most set of notches and then your jack stands on the piece between the set of notches closest to the wheel.

Very easy to jack the car up and get your stands in using those two points.

Dont forget to use wheel chocks when you do so.
And don't forget your e-brake only locks up the rear tires, so you REALLY need them when jacking up the rear.

The manual has a section in it all about jacking up the car.

Damn, I can't jack it up from the front. Engine covers are in the way.

Yeah, can you tell us which of the covers need to be removed so we can get access to the center lifting point on the front? I can barely see on that jpg where I think the oil filter is so it looks like the lifting point is slightly to it's left (as seen from the driver's seat).

edit- As I look under the car I don't see access panels for it. Does that mean that ALL the plastic must be removed to gain access?
