Change filter every oil change or every other?

Manual says every other I believe. Should I be changing the filter every oil change or are most people doing it every other?

Just wanted to ask before I go do it. I changed my filter and oil 3000 miles ago.

Depends on how you drive it, and if it's the first change or not... But I sure as hell would never change the oil in any engine without changing the filter.

I change both on mine every 2500 miles. I own a auto parts franchise and you will not believe how many shops don't change the oil filter during an oil change.

It's always good to change both but if you were poor as crap, your car wouldn't blow up because you didn't change your oil filter every oil change. But if your worried about the warranty I would because might get you for that.

If it's a financial consideration that's making you question whether or not to change the filter on an Evo X, I think we need to sit down and have another financial talk first

I would never do that. Its an inexpensive cost and not worth the risk.

No doubt about this... Every time. Like an earlier post mentioned - if it's financial reasons causing you to think about this, you really should consider buying another car.
