I doubt a ct9a will ever need an aftermarket pedal since they are metal and very sturdy. Plus they sit on a pedal assembly.

The evo 10 gas pedal has its own assembly as you can see int he picture, thus making replacement easier.

Also,

the other pedals on a evo 10 are metal as well like on a ct9a, so they won't need modifications.

 

The pedal pricing, not sure how I forgot to list it, will be $229.

No need for this on an EVO8.

 

I have a couple of questions:

1) have these been tested to ensure proper functioning yet? Just wondering, because I wouldn't want them to be the same dimensions but for some weird reason still not work properly.
2) any possibility of them being painted or powdercoated black instead of the normal silver?
3) do these weigh much more than the stock unit?

The stock pedal's that have broken were not in crashes that I know of, I don't see it as a safety feature.

I suppose the pedal can be painted/powder coated if need be. .99 cents for a can of spray paint shoud work well.

Yes the fit and function have both been tested in our EVOX.

 

It might be. It'd sort of make sense I guess, but I'd wager it's a cost saving measure by Mitsubishi to use plastic instead of metal.

Here: I'll buy one, and go run into a wall. I'll report back.

YEs. Also if the pedals crumble on side impact it will do a same. Prevent injuries.
This is a clutch pedal , but you will get the idea.


Very unlikely you will need to have a pedal broke to prevent injuries though.
I think for drag racers and some guys it is a good idea if they did broke the pedal already.

Looks like a nicely done product so even have some bling bling factor.
Also it is a good idea make the pedal more even with the break pedal or line up better. Then i will might be interested too. Then i think it would be a great idea a lot more.

 

I would be interested, just as long as these pedals dont break the bank. $76.66 per pedal is kinda pricey. I would pay $50 per pedal for a total of $150.

 

As many know mine snapped back when my car wasn't fast enough so I likely pushed a bit harder than I should have. It's certainly a "safety" feature of some kind for the stock plastic pedal to break away at that point since they intentionally placed a weak spot there. That said I've used a stock pedal with reinforced aluminum brackets and placed a rubber stopper under the pedal with good success. If a Billet replacement was made I would likely be interested.

 

I would be super interested if only 1 condition is addressed. If the new pedals are not as slippery as the stock ones, while our shoes are wet! Other then that I am down for it!

 

One of us is reading this wrong, throttle peddle is only 1 of them and he's listing that in the 2xx...

So either I've got it wrong and he's talking about swapping all three, or you are going to be sad to realize it's 2xx for 1 peddle...

 

micmckee, you are correct, he is going to be sad and pedalless. This ONE pedal replacement is $229. It starts as a large chunk of billet. It can't be made for $50 or $150.

The pedals are built, as pictured. Not to be rude but the thread is not about "what can I do to change the design or how cheap would I have to offer these to sell them."

The designer/manufacturer has them done. We have tested it in our car. What is in the picture on the first page is what will be produced if the demand is there and the price will be $229.

All I need to know is how many people are interested so the manufacturer can decide to make XXX of them or not make them at all.
